Ljubljana is the capital of Slovenia. It is one of the cleanest and safest cities I have ever visited. It is also highly educated due to its university population. Ljubljana is a green paradise having a high level of environmental awareness. They have several festivals during the year and are a happy friendly people. My husband has Slovenian ancestry and it is one reason we chose to visit Ljubljana. While roaming the streets of the city I was inspired by the colorful doors of some of their historical buildings.
