Vienna is Austria’s capital and lies on the ancient Danube River and the skyline is still dominated by the spire of St. Stephen’s Cathedral. It is a major landmark of Vienna and the most important Gothic church in the city. It is 700 years old and a monument of art. It incorporates remnants of the original 12th century Romanesque structure which was destroyed by fire. I was very inspired by this church and its immense dramatic energy. I am designing a pendant from gazing upon this ancient monument.
